Copyright and DMCA

Fazoh is built from what its members write, and we respect the rights of the people whose work they cite. Answers may quote short, attributed excerpts from their sources; anything more needs the rights holder's permission. If you believe something on Fazoh infringes your copyright, tell us and we will act quickly.

Report infringement (DMCA notice)

Under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), a notice must include (the U.S. Copyright Office explains the process in its Section 512 resources):

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. The copyrighted work you believe is infringed.
  3. The link to the material on Fazoh you want removed.
  4. Your name, postal address, phone number and email address.
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
  6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act for the owner.

Designated agent

Send notices to [email protected] with the subject "Copyright notice", or through our legal notice form. Include everything listed above.

Counter-notice

If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, you can send a counter-notice with your signature, the removed material and where it appeared, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe it was removed by mistake, and your name, address and phone number with consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your district (or, outside the United States, any district where we may be found). We forward it to the person who sent the notice and may restore the content after 10 business days unless they tell us they have filed a lawsuit.

Repeat infringers

We suspend the accounts of members who repeatedly infringe copyright.

Intimate images shared without consent

If an intimate image of you, or of someone you are authorized to act for, was posted or linked without consent, report it here or use the report button on the post. Tell us where it appears and that it was shared without consent. We remove it, and copies we can find, within 48 hours, as the TAKE IT DOWN Act (Public Law 119-12) requires. You do not need to send us the image.
